Indianapolis 500 Watching race time Live 2020 edition of the Indy 500 takes place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, on Sunday August 23, Fans can watch the event for free Watch the Race Live Online Without Cable.

The 2020 Indianapolis 500 will be run at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Sunday, August 23 8/23/2020, but it will be unlike any other Indy 500 in the race’s history. The race will be broadcast for the first time this year on NBC, which can be streamed live on fuboTV, Hulu with Live TV and Sling (availability varies by market).

The TV station isn’t the only new part of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” this year. Like other sports restarting amid the coronavirus pandemic, there will be no fans packing the 300,000-capacity speedway this year.

The race will also be missing much of the usual Americana pomp and circumstance following postponement from its usual Memorial Day weekend schedule. No parade of military members, marching band or traditional last row party, but NBC is still planning to return many of the race’s other hallowed traditions.

After the disappointment set in, the creative juices started flowing. Ornery. Crafty. Sneaky. Sly ideas.

Crazy things. I was thinking about renting a hot air balloon, a scissor lift. I even Googled how much it cost to buy an Indiana state trooper uniform,” said Joe Malia. “Obviously that one was a joke. But Malia’s yearning to find a way to watch the Indy 500 in person — one that will be held without fans due to COVID-19 concerns — was no joke.

And so, he started plotting. And the plotting paid off.

On Sunday, as millions watch the race on NBC from their recliners, Malia will be sitting atop a platform nearly 40 feet high just past the fence around the track.
He will be in a tree overlooking the backstretch. He will get to smell, hear and feel the roar of the engines.
